Welcome to the May 2011 edition of Free Spirit Journey. Instead of writing an article, I was inspired by recent graduate, Pam Wright, who re-wrote the song "Feeling Groovy" to "Healing Groovy" and decided to write a parody of my own based on the song "Breaking Up Is Hard to Do". Enjoy! Diane
Waking Up Is Hard to Do
They say that waking up is hard to do
Now I know, I know that it’s true
I wish that this was the end
Instead of being done I find that I am waking up again!
I work so hard each and every day
I search and search for a better way
To live my life and to see this through
But waking up is hard to do!
I meditate and exercise my mind
Always hoping that I’m going to find
The root of everything that I’ve been through
But waking up is hard to do!
I spill my guts and I make amends
Hoping that someday I can be friends
With that inner child who’s blue
But waking up is hard to do!
Free Spirit School is one way to find
A way to clear my muddled mind
I want to have a life that’s new
Cuz waking up is great to do!

On Sunday, May 8th Free Spirit School held its 3rd graduation at the Pavlic Center. Ten first time students and four graduate students received certificates for completing our program. We are very proud of these amazing, courageous individuals whose transformation over the past year and a half was simply inspiring. Free Spirit School is honored to have played a part in the unfolding of their lives and we look forward to many years of heartfelt connection to each of them.

2011 Reiki Sharing Events
Reiki is a Japanese technique used for relaxation and stress reduction and also promotes healing. It is administered by a gentle “laying on of the hands”. The Reiki Sharings held at Remedy Within Wellness Studio provide a fun, positive, safe environment for participants to experience Reiki. There is no experience necessary to attend the “Open to all” Reiki Sharing.
